Here, through Boses “virtually invisible” speakers we hear on the left channel the sound of a dancer, working on a particularly exhausting rugby drill, and on the right channel Ivanka Trump’s voice talking to Fortune 400 about her business venture ‘#womenwhowork, a productless enterprise for women, that trades in organisational, hosting, and empowerment tips. Recently #womenwhowork has become a type of political surrogate for Ivanka’s father, Donald ; who is depending on his daughter to attract the female vote during his campaign to become the president of the United States.The title of the work is partly a quote from Ivanka, introducing her father at a republican rally. With self-assured voice and manner, she appears on the republican stage as a self-organised product of Trump enterprises. A fleshy proxy for his corporation (she is a director of Trump enterprise and lives in Trump tower), and an outcome of his paternal nurture. Now she stands before America as a “successful business woman, mother, wife ” to promise that the codes of corporate life, winning, money and the control of time will be fulfilled with her father in the presidency.
