“Fireplace, panelling, frescoes and cornices that characterize the charm of the old according to the term in use in real estate advertisements constitute the decor in which each artist invited to Interface must compose to present their work.
In this old-fashioned setting where ornament reigns, my attention has nevertheless focused on an incidental detail that concerns the centralized administration of modern comfort during the winter months.
In his work, Yann Sérandour explores the history and evolution of the circulation of works of art. In this way, he interrogates the question of transmission: how do we look at a work of art, at an object, or at a story, and what do we retain of it?
