From 30 March 2014 onward, Museum de Fundatie in Zwolle will present the exhibition entitled Meer macht (More power). This exhibition displays work by Steve McQueen, Ai Weiwei, Anselm Kiefer, Constant, Anri Sala, Yael Bartana, Deimantas Narkevicius, Joseph Beuys, Renzo Martens, Gert Jan Kocken, Raphaël Zarka, Andres Serrano, Alec Soth, Asger Jorn, Hans van Houwelingen and Roy Villevoye. It revolves around the issue of whether or not present-day artists can still pursue ideals. Do contemporary artists have any power at all? Or has the world of art definitively landed in the clutches of Mammon? Indeed, even if artists can realize their ideals, is the world actually waiting to receive them? More power has been compiled by writer and art critic Hans den Hartog Jager, who organized the successful More light exhibition in De Fundatie at the end of 2011.
