For several years now, Dominique Petitgand has been working on the notions of sound and listening and has been creating works that give rise to real narratives and mental landscapes. Conceived as a long sonic dotted line to be discovered while walking through the museum’s spaces, La distance abolie is articulated around a series of sound installations, mainly vocal, which inhabit the place in a scattered, mobile and intermittent way.

Different types of devices, in various formats and modes of presence and activation of sound, question our relationship to time, place and the surrounding context.
