Group show with works by Mac Adams and Cally Spooner
Frac Normandie Rouen
13 March - 15 August 2021
Scenario 1: Body, colors, materials: from March 13 to May 09, 2021
Scenario 2: Plan, image, sequence: from May 10 to August 15, 2021
Two Scenarios for A Collection presents an exhaustive panorama of the works recently acquired by the Frac Normandie Rouen by offering two successive hangings whose articulations and approaches can resemble two distinct scenarios, two writings.
While the first shows, in a sensitive way, different ways of representing and staging the body, nature and matter, the second, more conceptual in appearance, is guided by the question of the device and acts as a reverse side of the decor.
Designed according to two specific approaches, the exhibition thus displays nearly 150 works produced by 62 artists. Among the works exhibited, many relate to the main axes that today orient the collection such as the environment through built space, territory, nature; the body in its aesthetic, social, political but also media and performative dimensions, or the story in disruptive forms linked to books, writing, image, installation.
