Dominique Petitgand, Elle me parle, 2017
Sound installation with intercom
Edition 3 (+ 2 A.P.)
Elle me parle (She speaks to me) is a sound work that is heard on an intercom fixed halfway up a wall inside the exhibition hall. It is heard at a close distance from the listener when the latter presses the button on the front panel which triggers the sound. Listening lasts as long as the listener keeps the finger pressed and puts it in the presence of a woman, busy, in full activity and in motion, who speaks to him.
This voice is addressed to him/her from another space, perceived at a distance, and which seems connected in real time.
