Cally Spooner

Cally Spooner est une artiste et auteur née à Londres en 1983, elle vit et travaille à Athènes.

Son travail consiste en des installations, l’écriture de pièces et essais, de romans et de performances tels que des émissions de radio, des jeux et une comédie musicale, qui abordent les questions d’organisation et de dépossession de ce qui est vivant. Elle utilise souvent les répétitions, ou la forme épisodique, comme un moyen et une fin en soi.

Ses expositions monographiques récentes incluent le New Museum, NY, le Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam (2016). Elle a participé à de nombreuses expositions collectives, au Aspen Art Museum ou REDCAT, Los Angeles (2015). Ses écrits et essais ont été publiés dans Flash Art et Artforum. Son livre de scriptes est publié par SlimVolume (2016) et elle est l’auteur d’un roman « Collapsing In Parts » publié par Mousse (2013).

Elle est lauréate du Paul Hamlyn Foundation Awards for Artists et de la bourse d’écriture de la Whitechapel Gallery.
