The original film is history drama executed still in socialist realism manner, featuring ‘socialist revolution’ in Lithuania, which in fact has never happened. Even the protagonist of the film blacksmith Ignotas who is fighting for com- munist ideals, is created according historic person who in fact as voluntary was fighting on the opposing side, on the side of Lithuanian Republic. The script text is far from correct interpretation of historical events in Lithuania during the period of 1917-1918. It is typical example of propaganda fiction movie of the post war period.
